Position: Software Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled software engineer to join our talented staff. This is a unique opportunity to showcase your skills and creative forces in a dynamic team where every individual contribution counts. We are looking for strong, self-starting individuals to bring their unique perspective and experience to redesigning legacy user interfaces and back-end services as well as designing brand new product interfaces.

Responsibilities include:

• Help support and maintain assigned Components/Modules in Java/C/C++
• Design and develop new or replacing architectural components
• Participate in Agile process with story pointing, monthly sprint reviews and daily SCRUMs
• Manage and update assigned User Stories and Issues within JIRA
• Help design and document user interface for both the desktop and the web
• Maintain current knowledge of industry and relevant technology
• Work with internal developers, support and management to coordinate product changes and design needs/goals.
• Work with marketing and customers to understand requirements.

Requirements:

• 3 or more years of software development experience ideally with OSS/NMS solutions/products.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and associated best practices.
• Knowledgeable in distribute processing concepts, data centric applications, analytics.
• Exposure to design and development of scalable and High Performance Server Architectures.
• Design patterns.

Technical Skills

• C/C++, Java/J2EE : Hands on experience is must.
• Oracle PL-SQL
• OOAD, UML
• CORBA
• Clearcase/Mercurial (for source code control)
• Strong experience in Solaris/Linux
• Experience with Rational’s Purify, Pure Coverage and Quantify
• JBOSS
• JUnit
• Regular expressions
• Scripting languages (sh, csh, perl, python, groovy etc.)
• Experience with 4th GL interpreted languages and/or Telecom Protocols
