Problem Statement: Managing High ARPU Services in an outsourced Network Management Scenario

 

Bharti has recently introduced IPTV services and while they have been facing small glitches in Broadband services these have manifested as serious disruptions in broadcast TV services resulting in a significant increase in customer complaints. Using NGOSS, OSI has deployed a solution at Bharti that leverage existing disparate fault, performance and probe systems that continuously monitors the end to end service, and pinpoints root cause of a service degradation due to a network health issue.

Mr. Custeau has 20 years of telecommunications-related experience at both product vendor companies and service providers. Mr. Custeau presently oversees world-wide sales and marketing, including strategy, new business development and marketing communications at Objective Systems Integrators (OSI). Mr. Custeau is also an Advisory Board member of the TM Forum, the leading OSS/BSS standards body.

Puneet Garg is VP, Technical of Bharti Airtel

Mr. Garg heads the Bharti Airtel IPTV initiative in India in the development of IPTV service, network planning, design and testing of technology and business models with fourteen years of experience in DTH, Network Operations, IP & Broadband services of Telecom Industry extensively in Asia Pacific region and India in providing consultancy to operators such as PT Telkom in Indonesia, StarHub and Singtel in Singapore, Astro in Malaysia and Telstra, VisionStream in Australia on Broadband and IP related services.
