Sobha Renaissance unveils 'DATA Exclusive IN' - Software to enable subscriber download content from any operator

Technology to drive content sharing between telecom operators

Bangalore - Sobha Renaissance Information Technology (SRIT) today announced "Data Exclusive Intelligent Network (IN)"- an operator end software which would enable its subscribers to download content from other operators too. This is enabled through a unique pre-paid Voucher Management System which helps generate and manage vouchers between the two transacting operator systems. The additional content download generated from a competitor's subscriber base is expected to enhance operator revenues from value added services substantially. 

The value this technology seeks to derive is creating an Intelligent Network specifically in the realm of 'Data Services'. Extensive alliances between operators today provide mobility with regard to voice and messaging while roaming, but is totally non-existent when it comes to downloading contents like ring-tones, wall-papers, news etc. Data Exclusive IN when installed in an operator network would provide that mobility to subscribers, both while captive in their own network or when roaming, with regard to content downloads.

Data Exclusive IN will usher another unique possibility in the business of content downloads. Just as a voice based subscriber has a choice in choosing his long distance operator, which might be a different one from his own home operator, now subscribers can also choose their content provider separately. This means that for voice based services a subscribe may have one operator and the other for content.

Mr. Joseph N J, Director Marketing & Sales, clarifies that the technology will work as a win-win for both the subscriber and the operator. He states, "This technology will help service provider to reap maximum benefits form their content portal. The advantage to end-users would be that they will not need to switch their operator because the other has a better content service. He can have both of them at the same time."

Data Exclusive IN is probably the words first pre-paid billing platform created exclusively for Data Services. The Voucher Management System allows deployment of both traditional paper vouchers and Electronic vouchers. The platform allows Telecom providers to sell content directly even to subscribers of other Telcos. Data Exclusive IN provides freedom to Content Providers to sell and bill content independent of Telecom Operators. The system is backward integrable with legacy system.
